Odd story. So he did zero mileage in the cars but got lots of parking tickets. So were the cars parked illegally outside his house?
Apparently Boris was the motoring correspondent for the magazine, yet it would appear that many of the vehicles he was given to review, he drove them zero miles.

Most of the population would assume Boris was taking money under false pretences, having not driven the vehicle he had been paid to review.

But no doubt Naomi24 and TTT would point out what a fantastic motoring correspondent he was, able to give a detailed insight of a car – having never driven it (what a genius).
what's up canary, still feeling inferior?
the problem that you lefties fail to see is that you have a chip the size of a 4x2 on your shoulder. The rest of us do the best we can for ourselves without spitting out the dummy over what others are doing. Poor canary, another thread abandoned. He won't return to this thread guaranteed.
Boris is not a "toff" he got a scholarship to Eton. Are you against the poor going to "Toff" schools? Funny attitude to have.
"The rest of us do the best we can for ourselves without spitting out the dummy over what others are doing."

Why do you mump about fuel prices being too low and there being too many poor folk driving around with no passengers then?

with the Boris lovers and apologists on AB
I read a side-splitter this morning

Ethical behaviour rides above the law
( for slow readers and other ABers - that is ethics forbids a set of behaviours which may be lawful - sleeping with s/o else wife etc, consroting with leddies of the nite and so on)

well not in todays tory boy cabinet....
Gawd elp us, ^^^^ full set!
Boris was paid £1 a word for a monthly 1000 word article. The editor found ways to cover about £4000 of parking fees over his time because the articles were really funny. Perhaps Boris should have stuck to journalism.
Carry on braying.
An early taste of lying for reward, perseverer, leading to a career.

The sextator scandal

We had portrayed him as a sex-mad buffoon with a portrait of Margaret Thatcher on his office wall that turned into a pull-down bed — in constant use throughout, needless to say.
