I have a Ford fiesta 2007. Am thinking of buying a skoda Fabia 5 door. 2016/17. Any advice is it a good car or should I buy another Ford fiesta newer model. Thank you.

Go for a late Fiesta if I were you, the later ones are a very good small car.
I know someone who has a Skoda Fabia (don't know how many doors) but they are very happy with it, and unlike their last car, it's very reliable too, but at the end of the day it's down to personal choice.
Skoda Fabias have great rear-window heaters - to keep your hands warm while you push them....
Honest John thinks well of it. Well the 2015 anyway.

Skoda may be more reliable but I think the Ford will be nicer to drive.
Skoda have largely lost the cliche dud image.

They are built by VW and have an excellent reliability reputation.

They are not cool and not overly pretty, but they are good value for money.

Avoid if you are a car snob, if not, it's down to preference.
or you could get a Hyundai i20
Skoda is far better built than a Ford. Solid thoughtfully designed and roomy. I would!
As for the old "joke", grow up or shut up you are so far behind the times its sad for you.
I would agree that Skodas are good, well built cars these days.
I can't agree with 'far better built than Fords' though.
My Skoda Fabia 1.9diesel was bought from new. Never a days trouble and does 60 MPG. Best car I have ever had.
I value reliability above all. Of the top 10 most reliable cars 8 were from the far east. Fiesta 29th, Fabia 49th.
