Is there any way of finding out the percentage of all ectric cars on the UK roads are leased through the Motability scheme?
Just curiosity.

As electric cars are usually considerably more expensive I guess many claimants would have to top up their mobility payments from their own pocket so my guess would be "a minority".

There are currently 19 all electric cars available with no deposit and no top up so plenty of choice.

I thought the all electric car would be an ideal choice for many Motability users - they are all automatic and of course they wouldn't have to worry about battery life as all that is covered by the three year lease. Cheaper to run, too.

Not so good if you need to transport a wheelchair or scooter, though, as they are all smaller cars

Any all motability cars are paid 'from their own pocket'. They could spend the money of fags, booze, gambling and loose women if they chose to :D
