Can anyone recommend a good make of car battery? Can anyone also recommend an online seller of car batteries.

I need a battery for an 18 year old Citroen Xsara Picasso and one for an 11 year old Hyundai i10

Thank you!

Go to Halfords
I've had good prices from both Halford's and Euro Car Parts in the past; both have plenty of depots.
Plenty on ebay - bosch yuasa varta lucas etc. are good makes.
I would thoroughly recommend this company:

I have had two batteries from them and delivery was very prompt (I think it was next day). I bought their own brand Power Plus Advanced XD which have a 5 year warranty.

Euro Parts are okay but Halfords are overpriced.
the ones I've found to be the best in my experience are Lucas.
A good indication of the quality of a car battery is the length of the warranty...you'll obviously pay more for one with a five-year warranty than three or two years.
Having said that, I've never actually needed a new battery in any of my cars over the years...lucky, or what?
As well as trying Euro Car Parts, try Carparts4less.

They are the same company, but each offers different deals. New customers get discount codes fired at them. Try both to see which gives the best price.

I have used both, and they are excellent for quick delivery at a good price.
depends, ginge ... I once had to buy one from Kwikfit because I was in a hurry. It had only a one-year-guarantee and gave up the ghost after 11 months. They replaced it without question ... and the next one, and the next one. By this time they were conking out in winter blizzards, so I gave up and bought a more expensive one. But the others had worked out pretty cheap.
I've just had a quick look and my previous link (Advanced Battery Supplies) give the following prices:

Citroen Xsara Picasso Petrol 1.4 £55.00 Petrol 1.7 £68.00
Diesel £75.00

Hyundai i100 Petrol £60.00 Diesel £70.00

These are for the Advanced XD brand.
Battery supermarket online have always been cheapest IMO, and Ebay is worth a look too!
