I moved house on last week. I went online to change my address on Thursday and received my new licence this morning . 2 days how amazing is that?

It must be the sort of process which can be totally automated; you change your address online and the process automatically produces a replacement piece of plastic, sticks it in an envelope and posts it to you. No human involvement needed.

I renewed my driving licence on line and got my new one in 3 days.

If a human being is required to look at a bit of paper there, that's where the problems start.

That’s where it’s so different in Ireland, Hoppy. Online and form filling are both a pain. But just make a phone call…get a person and all is sorted.
