In the event of no deal Brexit, which looks like Barmy Boris is going for, the cost of your weekly/monthly trip to the supermarket will probably cost at least 1/3rd more from 1st jan 2021. Will you still be glad you voted out, and you voted for Boris , when you have to find this extra money every week?.

1/3 higher prices is a figure you have plucked out of the air, and is almost certainly wrong by a large margin. A little inflation is inevitable.
My main fear is that they have contracted out all the post Brexit running and operations to private companies, with no real experience, and it will end up a shambles like the nHS/covid/Track+Trace fiasco.

Hopefully we can see more local produce, farmers will be able to sell more wonky veg, we will buy British meat, and fish from our own waters. If I wanted something foreign like French cheese, or German sausage I will buy less and probably enjoy it more. Maybe we will learn to treasure out seasons again, looking forward to when things reappear in a shop or market.
