AArrghhh! Driving me potty. I'm on the government website for SORNing my car and it wants the 16 digit reference number from my Vehicle Tax Reminder or Log Book. I've input the number from my VTS but it's not recognising it!! How can it not recognise it, I've re-entered it 4 times? It says you can do it by phone so I phoned and was asked to put in .... . So I did, Didn't recognise it please re-enter, so I did ... repeat four times.
Anybody any idea why it is not recognising this number please? Or anybody had the same problem?

Its not the 0 or O problem is it?
Do you have the 11-digit number on your vehicle log book (V5C)?
I just looked on the gov site and for SORN you can use the 11-digit number from your log book. Have you tried that?

This is where I am at:
https://sorn.service.gov.uk

Click - I don't have V11

Click - Existing keeper

put in 11 digit ref from V5C
Have you tried clicking on the "I dont have the v11 reminder prompt? This takes you to
Existing keeper (using V5C document reference number)

check that dot.
On my reg document, after section 8 (green stripe) right at the bottom is Doc ref No xxxx xxx xxxx.
That's eleven digits, so might be the one required.

Lady before you sign up for new policy have a check on Go compare, I do every year, always lower price, then go back to original company, ask them if they can price match, they always do.
