I have a Hyundai i10 automatic. Since last Friday, when I open the drivers door, there is a beeping sound. It's only this door. I can't see anything in the manual, has anyone any idea of what the problem is please?

On my Volvo, if you open the driver's door with the ignition on (engine not running) the car beeps at you as a warning.

bhg481, it's nothing to do with the ignition, it happens when the ignition is off.
Is it, perhaps, telling you the alarm has been triggered and you need to do something to cancel it?
A bit of googling suggests that the front or rear fog lights switch may have accidentally been turned on. Possibly at knee level, though that is from a similar query for a 2010 model.
Just checked on my i10, and if the rear foglight switch is depressed, there is a warning sound when you open the door.
Oh dear - that means that Bradley has been driving round with his rear foglights on all week.

Thanks all, I'll check when I get to the car after work. Hope it is just the fog lights, it's been driving me mad!

Thanks Hopkirk and TheChair, it was indeed the fog lights which were on. Much appreciated.
Great, thanks for letting us know.
