Despite one of you Villa fans snidely suggesting, earlier in the season, that the Villains and the Baggies may swap places with the Dingles - or to give them their proper name 'The Clarets' - i will be rooting for your lot this afternoon. I have never liked Derby County, never been keen on Lampard, the Prince of Darkness, Ozzy Osborne is a Villa fan, as is, apparently, our future King, they do play in a shade of Claret and Blue and, most importantly, should they lift the trophy, i win £260. I placed 2 accas on Saturday on Celtic, Tranmere, Charlton and Villa; the first was outright wins in 90 mins and Tranmere let that one down, the second was all 4 to lift the trophies. So, i've been perfecting my midlands accent, i have my Claret and Blue scarf at the ready and i've said my prayers to Lady Luck. Come on you Villains :-)

Villa to win 3.0
Question Author
Think it may be a tad closer, piggy, so i've had a fiver on a 2-1 win for Villa @ 15/2.
Purely on the basis of United treble winning side bought Dwight Yorke from them and a certain good man Mr.Tony AV is a supporter I want them to win.

I can do a great brummie accent... Timothy Spall style. ;-)
well I hope the team perform better than their fans have been reported as performing on the trains this morning - bloody animals, there's no excuse for it.
oh.. I haven't heard anything about that.... simply just snooping about at the moment.

I've tried Googling but can't find anything relating to fans misbehaving, mushroom. What have they been doing?
not on the news yet but on social media. physical damage to trains and abuse of other passengers has been reported. it's also reported that large amounts of alcohol have been consumed.
The latter part I can well believe, but have being listening to 'Talksport' all morning and nothing mentioned.

Odd that there's no film of the incident doing the rounds. Can't fart these days without someone pointing a camera at you.
I'm keeping my eyes on you fella :-)

Definitely the happiest bank holiday i've had in quite some time. Frank Lampard's chin has hit the floor - with an almighty thud, Derby remain in the Championship and, more importantly, even taking into account my total stake, i am nearly £300 in pocket :-) :-) :-)
…..and Randy Lerner earns £30m just like that, Ker-Ching!!!
I saw this coming months ago. The Dingles took our spot last year, The Vile did it this year. Dreadful.
Question Author
Well done to him. It was a shrewd deal he struck with Tony Xia. Another £10m if they stay up next season.
Question Author
Hopkirk; just how did we take your spot last year? We've been in the Prem since the 15/16 season. Unless you're calling another side the Dingles - if so, who?
Surely Wolves were promoted in 2018?
Question Author
Why do you call Wolves the Dingles. I thought we were the only ones with that (so called) derisory nickname. Those bar stewards from Ewood Park gave us that nickname because, at one time, most of the male cast of Emmerdale were Burnley fans, led by Steve Halliwell (Zac Dingle) a season ticket holder at Turf Moor. Didn't know there was a 'Dingles' clan in the midlands :-)
Wolves have always been The Dingles to us.
Barnsley are the only true Dingles.
