It has come to light, through my daughter renewing her car insurance, that a speed awareness course I attended earlier this year shows up, as I am (was!) a named driver on her policy. The course was run by the AA and I distinctly remember the course leader saying that the fact we had attended a course would not be disclosed.
Anyone have any idea how this could have happened?

Your daughter told them?

My view on any course to reduce the cost of insurance should be done by the DVLA or a company recommended by them & not the likes of the AA & RAC

I also agree with TWR. We were also told specifically that we did not need to disclose it to our insurance companies. Looks like we have a mole!

Whatever the demands of the insurance company, it doesn't answer who passed the information on. Surely has to be either your daughter or whoever ran the course.

It wasn't my daughter. The bloke on the other end of the phone said 'I see someone on your policy has attended a speed awareness course'. Anyway, I'm going to fire off an 'Angry from Tunbridge Wells' email to the AA.
