What's the best way to dispose of some old number plates off a previous vehicle? I thought about taking them to the recycling tip but concerned they could be used on another vehicle illegally.

Just break them up and then put them in the dust bin, or you could burn them.

Just make sure you have told DVLC that you no longer have the vehicle and bin them!

assuming they are acrylic, we just break and skip them.
