"All the accessories and in-car equipment are powered by a microprocessor."

Nice bit of gibberish there...
As long as we don't have to recharge it with a foot pump.........
The compressors to recharge the tanks run on electricity, generated from fossil fuel. Just moving the carbon emissions from one place to another solves nothing. Who is going to run an "air station" when its income is just $2 for each recharge? Madness!
Might work in warm climate 3rd world.

Lack of heater, demister, headlights or wipers might be show-stopper elsewhere.
I wonder how loud the bang would be if the air tank(s) get ruptured in an accident ? Would it be like the end of 'Jaws' :-)
No
Can you imagine it A.O.G? It would be a good Idea except what has been said regards the tanks but they can overcome that. It would not take any government long to put the price up though do you not think?
You echoed my thoughts Vicasso. With a pressure in the tank at 4350 psi it would be like sitting on a time bomb. Just compare that pressure with 30psi you put in your tyres.
