Clio 1.2 Grande W reg - on starting the car is juddery, needs a lot of gas to get getting, high revs, strong smell of petrol, jumps down the road for a few hundred metres then is fine. Only every does this on first start of the day, other times its fine. Does anyone have any ideas on the problem & how much it would cost to rectify? Thanks

This is probably caused by one of your spark plugs not firing and unused petrol in that cylinder going straight into the exhaust. Check if all four are firing VERY carefully by removing leads with insulated pliers whilst engine is running.
