12Volt caravan charginmg

Hi all
I have just purchased a used 1998 Bailey Pageant Imperial caravan, My question is when it is connected up to electric hook up should there be a charging system onboard to ensure the 12 volt battery is kept fully charged when on site.
I would be very grateful for any help on this.

yes there is an automatic charging system(we have elddis avante)

There should be a charger, usually under the seats near the front of the caravan. Control to switch charger on/off and show state of charge of the battery should be on the wall somewhere, usually near or with the switch that turns the power to your taps on and off.

Zacs - What would you do in a caravan if the electric hook up failed at night? No lights, no water pump to fill pan to make a brew on gas hob, etc.
