what is the typical weight of a London Double decker bus? I was in volved in a RTA and it rear ended me. The other side state that my etsimation of 15 tonnes is incorrect and from what source did i acquire such information

it depends on how many people were in it.

7 Tons---14cwt....Unladen

12Tons---6 cwt.....Laden
The only buses that weigh anything near that are tri-axles, of which there aren't very many in this country so I doubt it was one of those. In any case, unladen they only weigh twelve tons, although full (they carry 107 passengers on average) it would weigh as much as twenty two tons.
