i was caught driving without insurance in northern ireland,tho my vehicle was not seized i was allowed to drive on,should i have been allowed??

No insurance = selfish and ignorant!
No, you shouldn't have been allowed. You obviously encountered a very decent copper. Don't know if it's different over there, but in England and Wales you'd stand a good chance of having your car confiscated and crushed if you didn't get it covered within a few days.

And quite right, too.

i believed i was covered,wasnt my vehicle,until i got home and read the small print.

Newho,spoke to my solicitor in the meantime,i was lucky to get driving on tho i committed a serious offence and taking it to court would be stupid as the 1st question i would be asked is 'did u commit this offence?'
'yes'
