lost power on mondeo 2.0 TDCI 130 told by ford to change turbo which has since been done.Car still lacks power at low revs and is slow to pull away.There is also a whistleing noise at about 3000 revs any ideas ?

At 3000 rpm the turbo should be at full boost so a whislting noise would be normal, however if a boost pipe or the intercooler has split then the boost pressure could be lost causing loss of power and a whistle

Thanks. Got it booked in for a diagnostics test.
It could also be the cylinder head gasket.
As said, it seems to point to a pipe leak to the turbo, I would check this area before you take it to the garage, you will save youself some money.
