I have had to exchange the complete engine (less transmission) in my M-reg Vauxhall Astra. Everything matches ok except the starter motor which does not line up with the bolt holes on the exchange engine. The old engine is number C14NZ 19259569. The replacement engine is numbered C14NZ 19198844. The starter motor has a sticker on it which reads Five Star Products BS 07038. Can anyone tell me what make and model starter I need?
Thank you

take the old starter motor to where ever you intend to buy your new one and match it up to the new one.

Thanks NORMANTHEDOG but I don't see how that will help. if I match up the 'new' starter with the old one I will still have the same problem. The replacement engine is, I believe from an older 1988 Astra, What I need to know is the appropriate starter motor make and model from (It would seem) a 1988 Astra 1.4
