Anyone know how you change an offside rear brake light bulb on a 2001 Ford Galaxy?

I can unclip the bulb housing but there is a metal bracket preventing the bulb housing coming back far enough for the lower bulb to clear the reflector. I've tried removing the metal bracket that is in the way but the screw nearest the bulb housing is in a very confined area and difficult to get at.
