can anyone recommend a car warranty provider who has a good reputation for not pulling the wool over your eyes. had a bad experience with rac warranty did not want to pay out even with a gold service provided when I bought last car. always that part is not covered. policy not worth the paper it was written on. reccommendations on experience with claims from warranty companies would be helpful. thanks

im surprised you had a bad experience with RAC. Ive only used them for breakdown service and the were brilliant.
From what i've read and heard these warranties are not worth the paper they are written - as you say there are so many exclusions and wriggle out clauses .

Others will probably disagree and put me right
Bluetoon, have a word with your local Family run Garage not a dealer, ask them do they do some sort of warrantee, some will do it providing you get your work done with them.
I've had a number of cars over the years from Network Q. Never had any issues with their warranty. One of the Vectras I had from them was so much trouble they sent it back to Germany to be examined and in the end gave me a new car. That didn't do wonders for my impression of the Vectra but did give me peace of mind when buying my next car from Network Q
