Panda 2004 Auto Air Con Not Regulating When Engine Up To Temp

With the air con on auto the regulation of the fan goes to mid speed when the engine reaches operating temperature, the fan does not reduce which causes the cabin to overheat.

I have to switch the aircon off and regulate the fan speed manually. I suspect an electronic fault but the Haynes manual only refers me to a Fiat dealer.
