Advert in a magazine for a tyre pressure gadget which would save me having to keep a check on the pressure and wonder if anyone has bought it and is it worth having. Does it work with all car makes?
I would not want to splash out the money and find it a 7 day wonder.

Thank you for any feedback

I have some valves on one car that change colour when the pressure drops. Is that what you mean?
Very useful, but not as good as a regular check because they are not exact.

I Googled "TP 70" got an advert from 'Steelmate' for 4 screw-on caps and a connect to your Cig-lighter monitor for about £70, was that the one?

Wouldn't want one on either of our Motors though!

Yes that is the one steel-mate and is there a reason you would not have one .Baldric
I have these narrow wheels and to my wife they always look flat and I am forever having to check them and if this helps maybe not such a waste of money.
If you are just after re-assurance that your low profile tyres aren't flat a set of these or similar would do the job for a lot less money.
These are similar to the ones I have on my car and are extremely useful if you have a slow puncture.

I'm guessing you mean Low-Profile tyres, we had similar on an Audi Avant we've just replaced, took a while to get used to, but after a couple of months of frequent checks realised there was no problem, so now just do normal weekly check, both cars now have TPMs built in, operating off the ABS systems (I think).
To me the TP70 just looks kind of Gimmicky, and I just don't do gimmicks on my Motors.
These so-called Steel Caps, are they steel or Alloy, if Alloy put them on as you will get one hell of a job to remove them, use the old method " CHECK YOURSELF"
