Any ABers see the last night's end of series episode? how sad to see the very nice and hard working Rev David being moved from the Sicily Isles. If I lived there I'd get up a petition to keep him or at least try to find out why he didn't get enough votes to get re-elected. Some nasty people did not appreciate the nice vicar!!

Yes, this was surprising but no doubt the editing over the series has concentrated on the good aspects of his ministry to extenuate the drama of the series. Research has shown that most church communities start to be a clone of the vicar/minister so however good the leader, it may the healthy for the community to move on. My problem with the latest series was the complete paint-brushing of Rev Guy Scott out of the progammes
We are going to the Scilly Isles in September. I'll try to find out the reason that Rev. David was not voted back in...often things are not always what they seem on the surface.
We love the Isles, this will be our second visit.

Yes I was wondering about Father Guy. In then first series which was about him, we also saw quite a bit about Rev David so I expect to catch up with Father Guy this series but no mention of him. You get the feeling that the job didn't suit him also he upset some people by refusing to marry to couple of regular church goers because one was divorced.
