I'm calling it sock-o because that's what it sounds like, but I doubt it's spelt that way, Frost used it in last week's episode aswell, but this week when he entered the boat house after the fire he asked has sock-o been here yet? I've searched the internet for socko, socco etc but came up with nothing. It's been bugging me for the last week, please anyone know what that is. thanks

so it's spelt SOCO, that explains why I got nothing on the internet about it. that's great thanks TrishK7 and JackDanielsU, it's strange that a touch of frost is the first programme I've heard it being used on.

thanks JDOvengloves aswell. lots of answers I should have asked last week, that way it wouldn't have bothered me all week trying to find out what it was. and thanks for the link. I thought no one would know the answer.
I do actually work work in a Hospital Pathology lab and actually konw someone who moved form being a Lab Tech to become a SOCO, but as I say working with dead bodies, bloody corpses, bloody weapons etc., etc., I think I'll pass on !

I am sure that SOCO crops in nearly every episode of The Bill - or don`t you watch it?
