Can anyone tell me what happened in the last ten minutes of this programmes (5 monday 24th september) They were just about to get the results of the little boys brain scan, I had set this programme to record on my timer and it cut off just at that point (don't you just hate it when that happens). I had seen all the rest of the programme and was curious to know whether he had an aneurysm or not

Thank you very much for the very quick answer I'm really glad he was OK , I found the whole programme very uplifting in lots of ways and agree that to see him walking was very moving. Amazing how attached you can get to someone on a TV programme

It was nice to see a close family and totally devoted parents who wanted to do everything possible for their child.

Then you read the posts on here about fathers who dont by their kids xmas presents. makes you sick

I only caught the last 20 mins or so but I found myself thinking that despite all the problems that the little one has, he is very fortunate to have a family that so obviously adore him!

It certainly makes you get things into perspective! People as loving and close as thigs and then I look out my window at the high street below and the warts hanging around there and wonder what on earth has gone wrong?

This programe certainly seems to have raised some good feelings that yes there are families out there that care deeply for their kids and each other and are prepared to support and go that extra mile for one another. It does make you realise that despite the media attention given to the outcasts of society there are probably more families like the ones shown on this programme. It gives you hope for the future, just a pity that the media generally usually loves to give us the downside of life

I wonder if we will ever get to a stage where we don't have to make a programme about these things because we don't ever think of someone for colour, size and disabilities..

I think these shows should be on earlier to educate our children and allow them to have no predjudices...

I watched the programme and found it amazing that such a seemingly small change in the kind of foot splints he wore - made the difference between walking and not. I work in a special needs school so was particularly interested and the family were particularly uplifting. Not every family copes so well and I have worked with children who had severe learning difficulties but were socially aware that their parents had put them into care because oftheir disabilities. It is heart breaking to see. I'm not saying I blame the parents - as it is a totally life long comittment as the children in my school will not become independent from their paretns but could live in a group home or shared housing with carers. It must be terrible knowing that your kids will not outlive you - as some are terminal and also terrible to have to plan who will care for them when you're gone. Some of the parents focus too much on the negative aspects of their child rather than embracing the any positive steps no matter how small.
