In the street scene at the start of Corrie tonight was it just me or did anyone else notice that Gail was bobbing up & down as though she'd lost the heel from one of her shoes? or maybe she was walking with one foot in the gutter like you did when you were little? It just looked so funny to me.
And why does Deirdre always stride out around their tiny house with her arms swinging as though she's on a brisk 5 mile hike?
No insults from soap haters please...I know I should get out more :o)

Confessions of a Swede: Shaney and I are in bed with the same man! Yes, it's inspector Brunetti, but I'm not happy. It's the one where Paula (his own wife) gets arrested for throwing a rock through the window of a travel agency that deals in sex tourism to Thailand, which sounded like a god plot, but Leon seems like a very uneven author to me. I read one Brunetti before this one but don't ask me what it was called - I throw books away after reading them. Anyway, that one was okay. Which one are you reading, Shaney?

Don't fall for Robinia's prying about your past, Vinny, you know what happen's next

confessions of a cat

jno, I've been meaning to ask: I was in London in 1989 (for a whole week, and that's my only experience of Britain...) and I remember a huge, Asian shop on Neal Street. Is it still there, 'cos if it is I'd like to have a look at their website. There was a Cranks there too, in the same street, I recall.

Er... I had the ambition to write an essay on Facebook for Neti... but I'm going to have to offer you a rain check again. I won't forget, though.

Now why was I gonna post this and to whom?
...and if the shop is still there, what are they called, that's my question. Bye!
Nice one Kit lol!!
I am reading the same one as you Kit ....!
Great minds etc .....lol
I have nearly finished it ..Am up to the bit where they go and raid the guys flat who is a mafia hitman. It isn't one of his better ones ...I am reading my way through four of them at the moment at the moment and have two more to go .I am missing the first one Death At La Fenice and I haven't read Aqua Alta or some others ..can't remember which ones ..but I just get them from the library.I think you have to read these sort of things in order but they don't have them all.
I am just filling in time waiting for the new James lee Burke to appear and all the others I have reserved.!
I don't buy fiction these days ...I make the most of our council taxes and use the library !

Hope you are all OK ..been a lovely day here but there is definitely a nip in the air now .
Are you wearing woollies in Woolly yet Vinny ?
The butler is hovering with the medicine ....must dash ...hahaha ........
Hiya Shaney
Had a few becks and off to the garden.
Ive got me patio heater underneath this shelter and gonna light up me chiminea...just love watching the sparks fly up in the night sky.will be back later hic..!(((*_*)))
OOoooo (:O)
evenin' all, are we still here then? Well, what a lovely day. I put on my tropical kit and had my native bearers carry me to a place called Hackney, not somewhere I have ever ventured, but it was open house day and I decided to have a look at some of the places in this strange foreign land. Alas the Hackney Empire was supposed to be open and wasn't, but I did get to see a handful of other interesting buildings. Kit, I'm afraid I probably haven't been to Neal St much more recently than you have; I once worked in central London but that was many years ago, and since I have retreated to leafy suburbia I don't go in there much. But if I'm there, I will keep my eyes open on your behalf.

Come to that, I don't seem to come on AB quite as much as heretofore... there is an awful lot of unpleasantness going on out there, isn't there? At least in the days of the section which shall be nameless the old Ed used to wade in in her wellies every morning and hose it down, but the current one doesn't seem to do anything much at all and the place is just filling up with racial tirades and insults, which I find all very upsetting. Wasn't this place once a Q&A site, or is my memory failing even more?

Harrumph, time I moved again, to Tunbridge Wells...

Bah!
I am appalled ...but still here ...just moseying around in Q&P.

Morning all.
yep jno,had a good look round late last night and went to bed feeling rather sad for the ole answerbank.
I clicked a few report buttons and luckily a couple vanished.Only for the idiots to start another thread. Its a depressing place now.Suggs is getting as bad has B&S and nasty racial stuff is appearing in other Topics as well.I replyied to an answer in news. And then one of the idiots had posted a stupid answer after me.But we wont give up..will send some E.mails later...bye for now.

Robi here, currently reading Five go to Kirrin Island...

shuffles in wearing colander

I'm not wearing this for them out there <<< I'm still wearing it from yesterday - had two birthdays in one day. First - a quiet affair eating cakes outdoors.....second - 10 five yr olds & a bouncy castle....
NOT SO QUIET!

whatever happened to pass the parcel? anyway I decided to do the same as them......and wee'd myself..... then there's the added joy of the mummies fetching their darlings at home time...jeez, I though it was Stepford, lol...'yer mam' just shuffled round in her slippers in my day, telling you you'd betta not be sick.

I can't believe some of what's happening on here, it's a shame.

Love the dog/cat Kit that's the same as Charlie's bed...if he ever found a cat in it he'd send for the police, he's never really been the 'leave this to me' type...
and if you ever get back to the UK these come highly recommended....

(this'll flummox her) :o)

Bloomin brilliant robinia...

Morning All Very funny clips Robi and Vin. Brightened my day. My 'handymen' have been handy but there# yesterday and today. My Plumber came yestertday and put my curtain pole up as he promised and today my joiner is here putting my some shelves in what was my airing cupboard but had to make way for the C.H. boiler. Not as much room as before and not really an airing cupboard any more. (I don't knoe why I'm bothering Shut up Jude you're getting boring) See you later if I can think of something comical to say. :o)

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/6998539.stm
I can't believe that they have just discovered this about babies socks. This is what we were aware of in the '60's and would not use elasticated socks. I also was not allowed to wear them in the 50's to school as they caused a rash.
I've not been drinking honest I'm just rubbish at typing and didn't preview!!!!
We all know your secret Lemonade drinkers in the Shire jude...blimey,that ribenia's permanently half cut..she gets a bit confuzzled some times...its the only road where the milky collects the sherry bottles...hehe..!
