I agree, very thought - provoking. However, when Collymore questioned the girls innocence so early on, just because she had actually agreed to go to the hotel room (it cant possibly have been rape then can it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!) - I wanted to punch his lights out !!!!!
Arrogant, ignorant git. I know him personally and i dislike him even more now. After what he has done to women he should keep his mouth shut a bit more and LISTEN before he judges others.
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR !!!!!!!!!

even tho the girl lied and i know we have only seen i programe i kindda belive her i belive she got undressed to have sex but what happend after she didnt consent to but its early days yet!!!!!!!!!!
Just watching tonight's episode...the conversation between Sarah Payne and Michael Portillo was just incredible.

Very painful to watch.

Now THIS is good 'reality television'.

excellent prog....but i think it should be the stan collymore show....did they do it??? i dont know i think she wanted 2 have sex but not bum love
He is so overbearing (Stan that is) Why can't he let anyone else finish what they are saying? Think it is a well made programme though and prob very representative of how things actually are.
Question Author
suzy do think they did it???
Am inclined to think so but am interested and unsure how much of that is my own bias rather than whether it has actually been proved. Think that probably started with consent but went beyond and the men cannot acknowledge that Will be very interesting to find out in the end exactly what happened - which real juries never know!
Question Author
i agree with you ...lets hope we are never on a jury 2gether lol
Would hate the responsibility of being on a jury for a case like this to tell you the truth, would be so scared of getting it wrong and it isn't clear cut by any stretch of the imagination
There have been a lot of interesting points made on the programme. The judge pointed out that in rape cases, on many occasions it boils down to 'he said / she said' so Stan Collymore is wrong to say that it should all stand on the evidence, because unless there's very strong corroborating evidence on either side, it HAS to be down to the relative believability of the witnesses.

All other telly this week is cancelled now.

By the way, I'm loving the judge and the female long hair. Its good to see that these people really are human...especially seeing the judge having a crafty ciggie in chambers.
The BBC "The Verdict" web pages are worth a read:

thinking about it ....would they put on a programe of such nature knowing that most cases dont make to court so if they are not guilty that would put people of from making a report of rape....so im thinking they are gulity as i stated before i belive she consented at the start but changed her mind i think they are GUILTY
Question Author
bubbling nice now deffo guilty
Will be amazed if they can come up with a unanimous verdict though
For God's sake!

The final episode is on Thursday, and I'm out on Thursday night and Friday night.

Will we be told the truth at the end? Or do we just have to make our own minds up (like the jury) and hope and wonder we are right?
Question Author
good point ...im hoping that they tell us what happend but i cant see it tho but hey you never know
