Apparently a study has found that missing the point is down to upbringing. The Vicar of Dibley's sidekick, Alice, never got the joke told by Dawn French at the end of each episode. Such as this one;

To nuns are driving through Transylvania when a great big vampire jumps on the bonnet of their car. On nun says to the other, "Show him your cross." So the other nun opens the window and shouts, "Get off our bonnet, you toothy git."

Here's a few more;

A jar of Omega 3 vitamins fell on my head when i opened the cupboard. I sustained super fish oil injuries.
How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb? A fish.
What do accountants do when they're constipated? Work it out with a pencil.
I'm very pleased with my new fridge magnet. So far, i've got 12 fridges.
