Name Of A Tv Cop/drama Show?

It was on a while ago. I thought it was 'Unforgotten' but as the new series is starting it obviously wasn't. This one is where the first few episodes you see the older male detective talking to his younger female partner (Irish?) and it turns out she is actually dead. Blow/shot to the head I think as I remember the shot of the back of her head all bloody. Any ideas guys? It was on roughly the same time as Unforgotten I think. Cheers

What may have added to your confusion is that Nicola Walker also stars in Unforgotten as a Met CID detective.
