Waking the Dead is shown several times throughout the week, on various Sky channels. If you mean the episode that was shown on Drama on Saturday night (last night) beginning at 9.00 p.m., the killer of the police woman turned out to be the husband of the black nurse. He was the man in the balaclava who set the policewoman on fire, and burned the house down. His head was badly burned, and the modern hairstyle he sported was a wig. The wife of the missing man (Donald), who was in a wheelchair because she has terminal cancer, turned out to be a fraud. She never had cancer, but she did have Munchausen's Syndrome by proxy, in relation to her children. She killed the little girl who died of cancer by deliberately taking her around Europe and exposing her to endless x-ray radiation in various clinics. She was in the process of poisoning the little boy, but he was suspicious of her and never drank any of the juice she gave him, but poured it out the window. Donald, the missing husband, was found buried in the cellar of the house. He had found out from the two old people (the ones who kept appearing in black) that his wife had killed their daughter and he resigned from the bank and spent three weeks never leaving the house so that he could watch her and protect their son. Eventually, the wife killed him and buried him in the cellar. I hope all of this makes sense. I didn't like the new DSI who has come to work with Boyd. She has suffered some kind of trauma and is psychologically damaged, which is why they have put her with Boyd, but she has no charisma and holds back the dynamism of the plots involving the others. Even so, Waking the Dead is still my favourite programme.
Endgame finishes with Linda Cummings trying to leap off the building to her death. Boyd attempts to save her, grabbing hold of her arm. Spencer runs out onto the roof yelling at Boyd not to drop her, while Linda continues to goad him (Boyd), saying that he can still be a killer (if he lets go of her). The episode ends with Linda slipping out of Boyd's grasp. It is deliberately not clear whether he intentionally releases his grip or he simply can't hold onto her any longer. The credits start to run before we see what happens to her. Hope this helps you! :-)
