Unfortunaely there are no magic codes to fix this one...the lever off the battery cover is broken off. Does anyone know whether there is a place that sells the parts as I don't need a complete new one?

I don't think you can get just parts but you can buy new ones for a few £s ,eBay and other places sell them.
