What TV series should I watch next?

My recent favourties have been: Castle, The Mentalist, Game of Thrones(favourite so far!) and Sons of Anarchy. Can anyone recommend some new ones? (new to me) I like History and a drama, not too fussed about British detectives like Lewis or Life on Mars etc. Thanks! Oh, and I've seen The Tudors.

If you liked the Mentalist, my suggestion would be "Lie to me" with Tim Roth which is brilliant! I would also recommend "Chuck", "Spartacus Blood & Sand", "Bones" and "Criminal Minds"

I can recommend Dexter, there are 5 seasons of 12 episodes each, season 6 is currently on episode 10.
