The incident last week, when Mark Selby received a writ just before playing snooker, reminded me that something like this had happened before on live TV but I can't remember who it was. I'm sure it was a live Sunday night variety programme and it was a comedian, doing his act, when a guy walked on stage and gave him an envelope. Does anyone else remember this?

Ken Dodd springs to mind but can't be sure
There was a great act called Dailey and Wayne and they never even talked to each other off stage. One even delivered a writ on the other one in the middle of the act. He wanted the props or something and he needed witnesses to the writ, so he served it on stage.

yes I've found that link too, but i don;t really remember them being on tv much
