In the recent Midsomer Murders episiode "Not In My Back Yard", does anyone know where the house is that they used for the location of Swanscombe House - the modern house which appears at the beginning of the episode? It doesn't seem to be on the usual websites which give Midsomer locations.

thanks in advance

Thanks, but unfortunately not. That's my first port of call for Midsomer Locations, but there is nothing about the modern house.
I don't know where it was but I am sure it was featured on Grand Designs a while back.

Well, I have located it. Quite pleased with myself, actually!

Under the opening titles they had pictures of the plans of the house - and they were the real plans. I recognised the name of an adjacent house, did some googling, and some lateral thinking, and located the house in Harpsden, a little bit south of Henley on Thames. The architects are called Avanti, and there is information on the house on their website.
