Just watched The Rookie on BBC2, what a great feel good movie. I love films based around American sports, you don't get many good cricket/football films.

Don't think The Rookie was over sentimantal, but hey it was a Disney film so they had to temper down the guys actual relationship with his father.
The Damned United is a fine film. Like most sport films it's not actually about the sport in question, it's about obsession, I think even some non-football fans would enjoy it.

Give you that, "The Damned United" was great. And for cricket the made for TV "Bodyline"
