In today's Independent review of Friday's Ashes to Ashes, it says:- "Hunt is slightly less of an amusing anachronism than he used to be, and people have more or less worked out that the full truth will always be unforthcoming (especially since another series of Life on Mars is also planned)"

Another series of Life on Mars? I can't find anything about this on the internet and thought that Life on Mars had finished for good. Does anyone know anything about this?

Everything I've read says this is the last series
I hope it's not true. It was one of the best things i've ever seen on tv. Why spoil it with an inferior sequel, which of course, is what it will be
The BBC has this as the last series of Ashes To Ashes http://www.bbc.co.uk/ashestoashes/ (says this on the rhs)

I too hope its not true, especially after they jumped 8 years to Ashes to Ashes. It would feel odd to back in the 70's. And, a large part of the show was Sam Tyler wanting to get home. He did and then came back, so that's half the show gone.
phil glenister said it was the last series on the one show
