Putting new series, such as Lost, Dexter and True Blood, on Freeview channels, only to let Sky take them over for the second series. Why do they buy the series at all just to let someone else take them over. Am fed up with it. True Blood along with Dexter was brilliant but FX keeps buying the series and we never get to see it!! Have my complaining hat on but not sure where to send it to.??

thanks Dot, but this is no good, I don't have internet at home.
True Blood season 2 will be out on DVD soon anyway. what chamel was it on on freeview was it not E4?
it was on ch4 and e4 i think

i get all the series on bax set dvds by ordereing them through love film, you have to wait a bit though
True Blood and Dexter were both on FX first - then were shown on freeview or terrestrial channels, so chances are they will continue to be shown there.
Here you go, write to E4 and ask them what the billio they are thinking. Sky are pariahas or something

Surely this is just market forces at work so how can you complain.

If one channel buys a TV series and it turns out to be a hit then more companies will want to buy the second series, the price will go up, and probably Sky will outbid whoever bought the first series.

Not much you can do about it as the company selling it will want to get the most money they can.
