defying gravity

Does anyone know what has happened to defying gravity on bbc 2. The series was supposed to be 13 episodes but they have stopped after 8. All 13 episodes have been made and shown in Canada although ABC in the US have pulled it after 8. BBC 2 never gave it a chance by changing the time to so late on a saturday. I am most annoyed after watching this from the beginning to be left danging just at a cliffhanger. Shame on you BBC you might at least have seen this through to to the end, its not that it was taking up a premium spot

Oh dear!

Given that ABC pulled it and Canada shunted it to a subsidiary channel and the BBC appear to have lost faith, it doesn't look too hopeful for a second series. (Unless it goes/is going great guns in Germany - the other country financing the show).

I have just finished watching the whole series online and loved it . But what is frustrating is that there are not going to be any more when there are so many questions left unanswered. It has been really well done and after waiting for weeks to invest in caring about the characters and their mission it is deeply upsetting that an epic finale is ruined by knowing there will be no more - unless you know different, please put me out of my misery and tell me someone has taken this series on and will get us further into the mystery.

I particularly enjoyed the shocking reveal about the 'miracle survival of the dog' fantastic and unexpected.

Just looked at the link and sure enough it does show a listing fo 12th december. Strange because my sky+ box usually shows the next episode once the latest one has been recorded. I will wait and hope
