ready made blackcurrant jelly
sponge fingers
double cream
mascapone cheese

need a quick pud - any ideas?

oh well, seems like you guys are all out of ideas!
I ended up making a trifle with the sponge soaked in milk shake syrup as a base, topped with jelly, whisked double cream with raspberry syrup & left the mascapone out

Sorry no-one got to you in time, jack daniels! It's my first time on this board - I'm usually over at Quizzes & Puzzles. Next time, I'd soak your sponge fingers in some alcohol (perhaps your namesake?) and smear with the jelly, then top with the whipped cream & mascarpone combined. Maybe finish with a few scattered fresh fruits such as strawberries, raspberries, blackberries or blackcurrants, etc.
