Pacino is a powerhouse of an actor. His roles in Scent of a Woman and City Hall... wow.

But DeNiro - he's just brilliant. From the underplayed madness of Goodfellas, the rage in Taxi Driver, the comedy of Stardust and Analyse This, the menace of Max Cady.

It's hard to choose 'the best', but given the choice I'd pick De Niro. But really - only just.

It's very hard to choose, but I guess it's De Niro because he is an absolutely brilliant actor as his range of roles is astounding.
