Bagpuss was one of the truly great cultural experiences of all time - a devastating tragedy for those who are not old enough to have lived through it (Sorry Indie (et al.)!) :-)

I have 'The Complete Bagpuss' video - all 13 episodes. How's that for a confession? The characters were Professor Yaffle, Madeleine the rag doll, Gabriel the toad and my favourites the Marvellous Mechanical Mouse Organ. Today in North Street, Brighton, I saw boxes of Bagpuss floppy disks for the computer for �0.99 at the 99p shop... Emily loved him though.
