Hi
I have recently purchased a wharfedale lcd tv with built in freeview, connected to that is a dvd recorder (av1 in) but I cannot record freeview channels, all it records is an analogue channel i.e 1-5 depending on what channel the tv is on. The dvd is tuned into the tv. I never had this problem before when I had my big old fashioned tv I was able to easily record freeview channels and then switch to tv whilst it was recording.
Everyone I speak to tells me its all to do with the source but whichever way I try and believe me I have tried, it still does not work.
Can someone tell me in a simple language what I need to do.

Thanks

Bridget

Sorry if this sounds silly, but, are you sure the TV is on Digital when you record. I guess it can still output Analogue even though it is Digi capable.
..I had a similar problem with my old video, on my new recorder remote there is a button which says "input cell" ...press this while the tv is on the video channel ...then you should be able to arrow up or down with the remote through AV1 or AV2 ...and then select a digital channel to record....
