OOPS
Im in deep sh*t with DVLA. I traded my car in with Arnold Clark end July and the salesman did not point out that I had to LEGALLY send back part 9 of the V5, he just put the wee slip in the wallet and told me to hang on to my paperwork. I was alerted by the fact I hadnt received a letter telling me I was no longer the owner and contacted DVLA.
I then sent the slip 4th October - then POSTAL STRIKE - now theyre fining me the road tax on the old car from july till now plus fees, and wrote to me saying that someone else is trying to register the vehicle.
Im in a right pickle and have written nice letters asking for leniency, Im not even working permanently just now and the fine is over 100.
Is there anything else I can do?
I know it makes me look like a right muppet, no need to tell me that, stressed out enough lol
thanks
