Sorry but am I the only one who really hates these new ads? First the one with the parents screaming and shouting at their daughter for coming in late and now I've just seen a new one with a wife yelling and rowing with her husband who's ironing calling him stupid and useless and him rowing back about her mother...I don't get it- are we supposed to laugh and say "oh yeah, that is just like my home"? Well, I must be extremely lucky then that my home isn't a battleground and I don't need to shout abuse at my husband and daughters. You can't tell me there aren't more humorous ways of showing family life- messy houses and noisy kids etc? Hope someone agrees!

There are many ads around at the moment with people being nasty to eachother. What about those 'how do you sleep at night adverts'? I can't stand 'em.

thanks spud glad you agree- people disrespecting each other and screwing up their faces yelling is not the norm surely? I thought it was going to be a trailer for some hard-hitting documentary at first! We're not all candidates for Jeremy Kyle are we?!
Thank you for posting mydogsandme just to let me know it is real and my eyes (and ears) were not deceiving me!
When I first saw it my husband looked at me in bewilderment, but we said nothing - which was unusual to say the least!

The reason I didn't post myself is because I still cannot believe anything so utterly vile is actually advertising something so innocuous as MFI. It's more suited to a family abuse slot.
yes same here....I thought it was a trailer too!
The mind boggles as to how they sit around big tables in offices & come up with something like that. Maybe they thought they'd do the opposite of the cosy, 'cornflake packet' type family that we see in a lot of ads.
I don't think they'll be around very long!
i think it's horrid, and really misguided - would anyone buy anything from a shop where those sort of people might go?

so glad you all agree-NORMAL people like us should unite-some sort of mass protest or something! Let's all make a new advert and get paid pots of money!
It must be trying to break into the chav market, at least it may mean they keep their bad taste at home and not in plain sight.
For some people the foul mouth rants of Charley in Big brother is considered to be entertainment. Maybe the writers of these adverts thought they might be thought of in the same way.
