Hello all,
I am currently using *range's Livebox to connect to the Internet and am fed up with shoddy service.

What alternatives do I have to using ADSL? I don't really want to sign up to cable (internet/tv/phone packages - in fact would rather avoid ntl and telewest altogether) or sky, and will not go back to dial-up.

There must be more ways than this!

Select any of the listed ISP's and you will get a feel for the services available. If you don't use a large amount of bandwidth, then I would recommend Newnet. Just check-out the forums and find what suits your needs.
Surely they wil all be ADSL services? Going by the web address.
I read the question as the user wanting to find an alternative ADSL provider to his present provider.

I was not aware of any other means of accessing the internet - dialup, adsl, cable being the options.
What do you mean by shoddy service?
I'm very happy with my Orange broadband service and haven't had any problems since it was up and running.
