Whats this film?

Can anyone tell me the name of this film. It's recent(last year maybe) - American teen film where the nerdy girl in the class is humiliated at a party and then killed. Next day she walks into the class alive and she's had a makeover - she's also aquired some powers and then kills some of 'em. This is all i can remember from the trailer that i saw - any ideas? cheers

Sounds a bit like 'Carrie', which I know was recently remade (can't remember the new title though).

Top film Ammy and is probably based on it - may well be the remake - it's not called Carrie though - it's definately from either this or last year and it's all glossy American with a rocky metally soundtrack - I think the title is the leads name but i could be wrong - The only other thing i remember about it is that she's obviously a really good looking woman being made to look slightly less so (greasy hair etc) and nobody realises! - it's buggin me now!
