Did anyone else watch this last night? I thought it was great especially when that guy couldn't cook the egg and still mananged to come away with the backing of 2 of the Dragons - what a deal that will be for him!! OK he has to give them 40%, but 60% of what could be a fortune is an awful lot better than 100% of nothing.

Hi Osprey I totally agree, I felt really anxious for him as 3 times in a row it didn't cook the egg. I totally beleived that it had worked every time previously and its just typical of things to go completely wrong just at the crucial time!! poor guy. I'm glad it turned out in his favour

Poor bloke! I certainly would buy one if it did get marketed. Dunno why it hasn't been done before. You would think some of these boffins would hire someone who is good at selling and public speaking if they had got their product to the stage of Dragons Den.

It was a little electrical egg cooker, no water required, supposed to cook an egg in 5 mins, shell-on.

I thought it was a really neat idea and I think he's on a winner with it. I would have backed him. So embarrassing when he took the top off 3 eggs and they were all raw!

I suppose the appeal of Dragons Den is that you don't have boffins using professional pitchers to put forward their inventions. Much more fun watching the squirming of the inept. The backers obviously see a good idea, and potentially excellent returns of their investment, even though the poor chap with his egg cooker was left with egg uncooked, he was such a nice chap, and I for one, wish him every success. I like watching the arrogant ones having to go off with their tails between their legs !!!

It worked!!! The guy was on the ITV news this lunchtime and he actually managed to cook an egg!
