WhoEVER told her she's funny? When I first saw her I thought it was a wind-up.I know humour is a personal thing, but I can't honestly see anything REMOTELY funny when watching her. Yeh, I know, 'don't watch her then', well, I don't but surely there's an unemployed three-toed sloth somewhere in the country who's bound to be funnier?

ithink shes brilliant, cant stop laughing whenever i watch her.
I'm with Devilwoman, I bought the DVD's - I think she's hilarious and although have seen each episode loads I still watch it and laugh when it is on tv.
To even things up I am in agreement with Garamond. I have the same opinion of many of todays so called comedians, especially the ones who have to resort to the basic functions of language to attmept humour.
I've always felt the same about French and Saunders - about as funny as bird flu.
I agree with Garamond (nice typeface, I've always liked it). We usually see the last bit of her show whilst waiting for Steve Coogan. It's dreadful, it makes me cringe. EG Why is it funny to take the p out of disabled people? It's not even done wittily - it's just crass. Why is it funny just to keep saying 'am i bothered'?

I'm all for giving new talent a chance etc, but I think she's had hers and she's not up to the mark.
I am in agreement with Garamond.... I dont find Catherine Tate at all amusing....there seems to be little intelligence or sharpness to her humour... more caricatures and jokes about crass situations.
I dont find her funny either, cringemaking yes, funny, no!
I would have to agree devilwoman and natalie_1982 - I think CT is pretty damn hilarious - makes me laugh every time.
catso, you watch steve coogan, what a load of crap that is and you slag tate off.
not funny at all keep watching bits to see what the fuss is about but don't get it. She is funny on other things where she has to keep it clean for varied audiances.

That's really amazing; to see such diverse opinions. Whereas I and a few others wouldn't give her house-room, natalie, on the other hand, is prepared to put her money where her mouth is and buy her DVDs. Again, flip-flop doesn't go much on F&S whereas I think they're a scream. I'd really like to know WHY we have such differences in opinions, but until that happens, I'm certainly glad we have.

Oh, and Catso - a fellow comp?
I agree with Garamond, she's totally talentless and gets money for nothing! It's mind numbingly repetitive and extremely cringeworthy!
i find her hilairious....the old woman has gotta be the best character.
shut it!! its funny because its an observation on the different types of people in society today and she plays it well! if ya dont find it funny maybe you havnt come across these sorts of people or may be ya one of them!

shes a legend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I find both Catherine Tate and "Saxondale" consistently amusing and sporadically hilarious. Which is about as much as one should reasonably expect..."Monty Python" was never 100% side-splitting, but always worth watching.
Tate's and Coogan's humour is subtle, supremely well observed, superbly acted, at times quite scathingly satirical (based on the "give 'em enough rope" principle), yet ultimately life-affirming. I sometimes wish Tate wasn't so in thrall to the tyranny of the punchline, but then I think "Fast Show" (which wasn't half good).
Anyone spot my deliberate mistake there? I, of course, meant "tyranny of the CATCHPHRASE". Which doesn't look at all pretentious out of context. Naughty ScreaminTree...
The only bits of Tate's show that are amusing are the ones that she nicks from other shows (mostly Partridge). If it was a man doing the same stuff the show wouldn't get on TV.
Bothered!

Sorry

I thought she was crap when I first sw her but there are a couple of good sketches, not nearly enough to be given a show.

Give Lee Mac his own show, now he is funny.
my fav show is little britan at work people kept saying am a bothered i asked whats it about and i decided to watch i think shes brill and has me in stiches
