Does it seem really obvious to anyone else that either Clare or the baby are going to die??! The whole thing just seemed really ominous to me.

No I don't think so, but in reality if she had given birth at home to a premature baby, there is no way they ambulance crew would let her walk out to the ambulance, and the premature baby would certainly be rushed to hospital in case of complications, even though that vile Dr Matt was on the scene. They would not hang about for Ashley to wave the baby in everyones face whilst they had a chat!! Very badly done I thought!
i've not heard anything about claire or the baby dying, seems like the birth was too easy to me and that was no premature baby, he was a strapping bouncing baby.
I gave birth to twins at home who were a month prem. The midwife got there too late & the ambulance came about 30 minutes later. The twins were taken into hospital, but not in a big rush as they were a good weight. I did not need hospital check. I was up an hour later going to the bathroom, which was downstairs. So from that point, there was nothing wrong in the sceen in Corrie.
Did anyone else take a look at Fred with Joshua on the edge of the open pond in their garden, and think "that looks ready for a child to fall into"?
devilwoman - you wouldn't really expect a truly premature baby to be used in filming a tv soap, surely?
Bird Legs, Yes I commented on that. The Ashley/Joshua/Matt story-line would logically have an ending fairly soon. What better soap way than Joshua having an early demise! ......... And at least the new-born baby wasn`t an obvious doll.
Dr Matt and Claire were on Lorraine Kelly the other morning and they did say that without giving anything away, there was going to be a really big story line for them all, particularly Claire and things get mucky. They didn't give any more clues though.
