On Paul O Grady last night I'm sure I heard that Lost will be continuing for at least 5 years or something like that, wasn't really paying attention! I've heard this before too so does anyone know how long it will go on for?

Most of the lead actors have signed a deal for 5 years, though this does not mean that the series WILL last for 5 years if the viewing figures don't hold up. It just means that the actors wont go off and do another show elsewhere, leaving Lost without it's lead/popular characters.

It is standard practice for American TV to sign the actors up for a few series.

Thank you for that!
I heard somewhere that the writers have written enough material for up to seven series. I'm not sure how true this is though x

I've also heard that whiskeysheri! I hope it doesn't go on for that long, I want to have it all nice and complete at the end of season 2, well I can live in hope can't I?!

Yes I've read that the writers always envisaged it as being a 5 year project , though my guess is if the ratings fall they'll wrap it up sooner. They damn well better wrap it up and not leave us hanging. I'm beginning to lose patience with it to be honest.
